Ages: 13 - 18
Biology is the study of life, and in this class we will start from the very small and work our way up to the very large. This class is designed to give the students the knowledge and skills they will need for college. We will begin the year by looking at the very elements and molecules that make all life work. From there, we will move to cells, genetics, evolution, taxonomy, animal behavior, and ecology. Along the way we will have labs, activities, and microscope practice that will help to reinforce the concepts. This class has no dissection.
This class is designed to be a high school level course with weekly expectations of homework as well as regular quizzes and a final exam.
