We will review handshapes, letters/fingerspelling, numbers and basic vocabulary, as well as basic grammar, including facial expressions. We will focus on expanding vocabulary, describing people, objects and experiences, asking and answering questions, as well as phrases and sentences. We will also review and expand our knowledge about the history of ASL and Deaf culture. Students need to have had recent prior instruction in ASL. We will learn and work on letters/fingerspelling, numbers and basic vocabulary, as well as some short phrases, including ways to introduce ourselves and ask and answer basic questions. We will learn and practice basic grammar and facial expressions. We will also learn a little about American Sign Language, including the history and when, where, and why it is used.
