This class will teach students how to use manual cameras (cell phone cameras are not used in this class) We will cover the settings and how to get the most out of our manual camera. We will be taking a look at different types of photography (people, animals, landscapes and light painting). The class is broken down into sections looking at how to get the best type of pictures as well as some basic editing options.

Craft Hour with Tea and Biscuits is a cozy, creative gathering where students can relax, socialize, and express themselves artistically while enjoying soothing herbal teas and gluten-free pastries from the baking class. Whether crocheting, painting, drawing, or simply unwinding with friends, participants are invited to slow down, share stories, and nurture their creativity in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Each session offers simple project ideas like crochet squares, fingerless gloves, watercolor sketches, or mandala drawings, along with thoughtful tea and biscuit pairings such as chamomile with lemon almond biscuits or peppermint with cinnamon-spiced cookies. Blending art, conversation, and comfort, this class provides a peaceful space to recharge and connect over crafts, community, and a comforting cup of tea.
Teen Art & Design - Credit Worthy - R3/4

This class is 2 hours long and will be worth a full credit, extending into May.
This class will offer a fresh and engaging approach, departing from the conventional art lesson. Students will not only learn fundamental concepts and techniques in art and design but also learn how to creatively express their thoughts and ideas. Through collaborative projects across various art media and other subjects, students will experience new and diverse creative endeavors. It will broaden their creative perspectives and thinking while exploring and discovering their own artistic voice. All you need is an open mind to enjoy the class.
Art In Motion - R4

Art in Motion is a wonderful weaving of science and art that celebrates the experience of making and invites students to explore color, texture, and movement through hands-on creative experiments. Each session focuses on freedom of expression, sensory engagement, and discovery through play! We will explore how movement affects line and texture, discover how gravity and motion work together to distribute color, and uncover the wonders of surface tension. This sensory-friendly class will help build tactile tolerance, foster sensory regulation through repetitive movement, strengthen fine-motor control, and increase breath awareness. A few of the art experiments include: - Splatter painting - Painting with pendulums - Creating marbled paper - Spin art - Clay play I invite you to come make a mess, a memory, and a masterpiece!
Custom Toy Repainting - R4

Have some old/damaged toys? Learn how to bring them new life! We will walk through how to repaint and repurpose plastic toys! I have been doing this for 2 years with damaged and duplicate Breyer horses and have had some amazing results! I will be suppling toys for students to learn from or they can bring in their old toys that they want to redesign.
Light, Shadow, Legacy: Learning Photography from the Greats - R4

In this class, we’ll explore the many genres of photography, from street and portrait to landscape, documentary, and more, while discovering the iconic photographers who helped shape each style. Along the way, we’ll break down the basics of photography by studying the techniques these artists used to capture their most unforgettable images, and we’ll ask the question, “What exactly is a ‘great’ photograph?” But we won’t just study photography; we will also create! Through hands-on projects, we’ll experiment with camera obscuras and cyanotypes, make our own photo zines, and practice techniques in class.
