Introduction to Life Science - Part 1

Ages: 5 - 8
This hands-on life science class introduces students to the building blocks of living things. Students will explore topics such as cells, the human body systems, plants, animals, and ecosystems. Through engaging labs and activities, students will investigate concepts like how the heart works, how plants grow, and how living things are classified. The class emphasizes observation, experimentation, and real-world connections to science. Students will keep a science notebook to record their findings and reinforce key vocabulary. This course is designed to build a strong foundation in biology while making science fun and interactive.
Middle School Geology
with AJ Eldred
Ages: 10 - 13
Middle School Geology is a course designed for students in grades 5-9. Topics to be covered include the rock cycle, natural disasters, how to recognize different kinds of rocks, careers in geology, and more! Each week will be a combination of lecture and hands-on activities to reinforce the material covered. We will be meeting twice a week, on both Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday will be reserved for the lecture, while Thursday will be reserved for lab activities. Geology is best learned hands-on after all!
Water STEM

Get ready to splash into learning! In this hands-on Water STEM class, young learners will explore the amazing world of water through play, discovery, and simple science experiments. Using fun activities like pouring, measuring, building, and experimenting, learners will build early skills in science, problem-solving and critical thinking all while having fun!
STEM Crafts

Where creativity meets curiosity! In STEM Crafts, students will design, build, and create while discovering the science behind how things work.
Each class combines art and hands-on engineering as students explore:
Building bridges, towers and simple machines; Experimenting with materials to see what's strong, flexible or waterproof; Designing projects that mix creativity with problem solving; and much more.
This class encourages creative thinking, teamwork, and growth mindset because sometimes the best part is figuring out how to fix something that didn't work the first time!
Pyrography

Ages: 14 - 18
Create art with fire! In this class, we will be learning the basics of pyrography. With a variety of projects, the students will get hands-on experience practicing their pyro skills. Design projects include anything from small wooden boxes to large round basswood slabs. This class will hone your students' fine motor skills in a new and exciting way.
U.S. History
