Students will also journey through the frozen realms of Norse legend and the rich cosmologies of the Maya and Aztec civilizations of Mesoamerica. Each week brings new adventures through storytelling, reader’s theater, art, creative writing, and hands-on projects—from crafting mythic creatures to decoding ancient symbols. Along the way, students will compare myths across civilizations, discover universal themes, and even create their own original myths. This class blends creativity, culture, and critical thinking for a journey that’s as timeless as the stories themselves.
