Cursive - T2

$275

with Audra Eckes

Calendar Jan 6, 2026 at 10:40 am, runs for 14 weeks

Ages: 9 - 13

For new or continuing students. This class will be individualized to match the place and pace of each student. We will learn and/or review, then practice the formation of individual cursive letters - both lower-case and capitals (upper-case). I’m hoping that connecting letter to letter will begin on the first day to include short words using letters that are formed similarly. We’ll be learning the updated Zaner-Bloser style of cursive handwriting. The letters slant to the right with the tail of each letter connecting to the tail of the next letter. It also has capital letters that are simplified. Students will also practice reading cursive. Parents: This is the updated style of the one that many of you grew up on in grade school. Did you know that practicing cursive tends to improve print and overall fine motor skills as well as coordination? **Daily practice/homework of about 5 minutes will be requested to help ensure adequate progress.**

Please Note: Lunch is required for all who have 2nd & 3rd period classes. Please add the correct lunch to your cart before checking out.  If we notice that it is not added, we will add it as a separate invoice to you.

World Mythology - T2

$395

with Seema Khan

Calendar Jan 6, 2026 at 10:40 am, runs for 14 weeks

Ages: 10 - 18

Travel across time and cultures in World Mythology, where students explore the epic stories, heroes, and creatures that have shaped human imagination for thousands of years. From the powerful gods of Greece and Egypt to the tricksters of Africa, the spirit guardians of Japan, and the mighty deities of India and China, we’ll uncover how myths explain the mysteries of the world and reveal what different cultures value most. Students will also journey through the frozen realms of Norse legend and the rich cosmologies of the Maya and Aztec civilizations of Mesoamerica. Each week brings new adventures through storytelling, reader’s theater, art, creative writing, and hands-on projects—from crafting mythic creatures to decoding ancient symbols. Along the way, students will compare myths across civilizations, discover universal themes, and even create their own original myths. This class blends creativity, culture, and critical thinking for a journey that’s as timeless as the stories themselves.

Please Note: Lunch is required for all who have 2nd & 3rd period classes. Please add the correct lunch to your cart before checking out.  If we notice that it is not added, we will add it as a separate invoice to you.
