Craft Hour with Tea and Biscuits is a cozy, creative gathering where students can relax, socialize, and express themselves artistically while enjoying soothing herbal teas and gluten-free pastries from the baking class. Whether crocheting, painting, drawing, or simply unwinding with friends, participants are invited to slow down, share stories, and nurture their creativity in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Each session offers simple project ideas like crochet squares, fingerless gloves, watercolor sketches, or mandala drawings, along with thoughtful tea and biscuit pairings such as chamomile with lemon almond biscuits or peppermint with cinnamon-spiced cookies. Blending art, conversation, and comfort, this class provides a peaceful space to recharge and connect over crafts, community, and a comforting cup of tea.

Intermediate/Advanced ASL for Teens - R3

We will review handshapes, letters/fingerspelling, numbers and basic vocabulary, as well as basic grammar, including facial expressions. We will focus on expanding vocabulary, describing people, objects and experiences, asking and answering questions, as well as phrases and sentences. We will also review and expand our knowledge about the history of ASL and Deaf culture. *Students need to have had recent prior instruction in ASL. Marble Logic: The Physics of Thinking Machines - R3

In this exciting STEM course, students become engineers and inventors as they use Turing Tumble to uncover the hidden logic that drives every computer on Earth. Through hands-on puzzles and mechanical design, they’ll master binary logic, sequences, conditionals, and problem decomposition—the same skills used in computer programming. Each class blends discovery and play as students design, test, and refine their own marble-powered computers. By the end, they’ll understand not only what computers do, but how they do it.

The goal of this course is learning fundamental techniques to safely and effectively create the illusion of physical conflict. Using basic physical exercises focused on actor safety, effective blocking, energy and weight transfer, and believable choreography and reactions, students will build practical skills to keep themselves and their partners safe when participating in unarmed stage combat. These will include falls, rolls, pushes, chokes, slaps, grabs, punches, kicks, blocks, and found object combat methods.

This class will offer a fresh and engaging approach, departing from the conventional art lesson. Students will not only learn fundamental concepts and techniques in art and design but also learn how to creatively express their thoughts and ideas. Through collaborative projects across various art media and other subjects, students will experience new and diverse creative endeavors. It will broaden their creative perspectives and thinking while exploring and discovering their own artistic voice. All you need is an open mind to enjoy the class.

THE Zine Project - R3

In this class, we’ll explore the radical history of zines, study all the different forms they can take, and, best of all, create our own zines every week. Our focus is on creativity, activism, and collaboration. At the end of the course, we’ll celebrate with our own little zine fest! Whether you’re into art, poetry, politics, comics, or just want to tell your own story, this is your space.
