Book Arts Camp

$75

with Brooklyn Bakal

Calendar Jun 29, 2026 at 1 pm, runs for 1 week

Ages: 12 - 18

What is a book? In this camp, we will learn how to answer that question, as well as where books came from and how they’ve evolved. Through hands-on exploration, campers will discover the many forms a book can take while learning foundational book arts techniques like sewing, folding, and gluing. The camp encourages creativity and experimentation, inviting students to think beyond traditional ideas of books and consider them as both functional objects and works of art. Along the way, campers will develop craftsmanship, attention to detail, and an appreciation for the history and possibilities of bookmaking, leaving with a deeper understanding of how stories and structures come together.
