Art In Motion - R4

Art in Motion is a wonderful weaving of science and art that celebrates the experience of making and invites students to explore color, texture, and movement through hands-on creative experiments. Each session focuses on freedom of expression, sensory engagement, and discovery through play! We will explore how movement affects line and texture, discover how gravity and motion work together to distribute color, and uncover the wonders of surface tension. This sensory-friendly class will help build tactile tolerance, foster sensory regulation through repetitive movement, strengthen fine-motor control, and increase breath awareness. A few of the art experiments include: - Splatter painting - Painting with pendulums - Creating marbled paper - Spin art - Clay play I invite you to come make a mess, a memory, and a masterpiece!
Beginning ASL for Upper Elementary and Middle School - R4

We will learn and work on letters/fingerspelling, numbers and basic vocabulary, as well as some short phrases, including ways to introduce ourselves and ask and answer basic questions. We will learn and practice basic grammar and facial expressions. We will also learn a little about American Sign Language including the history and when, where and why it is used.

Through fun activities, teamwork, and hands-on projects, we’ll practice the power of “yet”, set goals, and discover strategies to think positively and persevere. By the end of the workshop, students will leave with practical tools to tackle school, life, and any challenge with a growth mindset!
Custom Toy Repainting - R4

Have some old/damaged toys? Learn how to bring them new life! We will walk through how to repaint and repurpose plastic toys! I have been doing this for 2 years with damaged and duplicate Breyer horses and have had some amazing results! I will be suppling toys for students to learn from or they can bring in their old toys that they want to redesign.
Reader's Theatre - R4

Reader's theatre is a form of drama where participants read from a script to tell a story. Unlike a traditional play, actors do not memorize their lines and the performance is minimal, using little or no props, costumes, or sets. The focus is on vocal expression and interpretation to convey the story and characters to the audience.
