We will have supervised lunches for students who are on campus between 2nd and 3rd period. Students are expected to bring their lunches. Please remember, we are a nut-free facility. On the last week of each month, we will offer pre-ordered pizza delivery for a small fee.

This is a space for the students to independantly do their work or have quiet time.

Learn different techniques and mediums to elevate your drawing skills! In this class, students will explore the many different ways of coloring and mark-making through a wide range of exercises and projects. We will cover not only the basics, but also explore different artists throughout history and the modern era, in order to better understand the techniques used and how we can apply them to our own work. Instructor Bios

What’s a zine? It’s more than just a mini magazine…it’s an amazing tool for self-expression, storytelling, and community. In this class, we’ll explore the radical history of zines, study all the different forms they can take, and, best of all, create our own zines every week. Our focus is on creativity, self-expression, activism, and collaboration. At the end of the course, we’ll celebrate with our own little zine fest! Whether you’re into art, poetry, politics, comics, or just want to tell your own story, zines allow you to put that onto the page and share it with your community.

World Building is a class designed with fantasy writers in mind! In this class we will discuss the various aspects of creating a believable fantasy world. Each student will create their own fantasy world using the World Anvil website to stay organized. Each student will work on their world over the course of the semester. The last day is reserved for presentations where the students will be able to show off an aspect of the world that they've created. Instructor Bios

This class explores the myths and legends of ancient civilizations, including Greek, Roman, Norse, and Egyptian mythology. Students will examine stories of gods, heroes, and mythical creatures, learning about their cultural significance and the lessons they convey. Each session will include discussion, reading, and analysis of primary texts and modern interpretations. Students will also engage in creative projects, such as myth retellings, artwork, and presentations, to deepen their understanding. By the end of the year, students will have a strong appreciation for how mythology influences literature, art, and modern culture.

This is for students who have taken an executive function class before, preferably at THE. No semester will be the same as each class will be catered to the students in the class. What will be the same is we will be using executive functions and applying them to the students’ lives. Whether it’s managing time, staying organized, setting goals, handling stress, or making decisions, this class focuses on strategies that support independence, productivity, and personal growth. Through discussion, interactive activities, self-reflection, and real-world planning projects, students will build routines, habits, and systems that help them succeed in school, work, relationships, and beyond.
