Campers participate in hands-on activities that explore environmental science, earth science, geology, and marine science through experiments, outdoor exploration, and group projects. Activities include building water filtration systems, creating food webs, identifying rocks and minerals, making fossil imprints, building and erupting model volcanoes, growing crystals, and creating ocean zone diagrams. Campers also take part in nature walks, environmental scavenger hunts, and outdoor observations where they collect and study natural materials like rocks, soil, and leaves. Throughout the camp, students work in teams to complete science projects and presentations, helping build teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. In this fast paced camp, students will collaborate together to create a single, 1-2 minute pilot episode animatic for an animated series. We will go all the way from brainstorming, to scripting, character design, backgrounds, voice over, and a smidge of animating to create one cohesive project as a group.

Math games for fun and fluency! Card games, Board Games, Puzzle games. For multiplication, number sense, and more. In Math Mania, we will use fun and engaging activities that seamlessly integrate multiplication, fractions, division, money, and more. We may use single, one on one or team competitions depending on the game. I will cater to the age and ability of students, I have multiple games for multiple levels. Examples: fraction tower -- we build stacking circles by combining equivalent fraction pieces that fit together unit rate ruckus -- board game with playing cards, dividing simple money by # of items proportion tic tac toe -- two person board game solving one number of equiv fraction problem game for area, perimeter -- using gridlines student makes as many boxes/rectnagles/squares as possible guess the number puzzles multiplication card games lots more options!
