Students are entering this class mid-year. From fractions and decimals to geometry and equations, this class covers the basic important concepts for math students in grades approximately 6 through 8. I do assign homework most weeks as this helps entrench learning. I want kids to remember what they learn! Especially because math is always building upon earlier concepts.

In this class we will read stories about earth science and learn about the layers of the earth, plate tectonics, volcanoes, earthquakes, mountains, rocks and minerals, and the water cycle. We will create crafts and go outside to look for rocks and minerals.

Have you ever wanted to make your own fursuit head? In Talons and Tails: Fursuit Head Bases you can learn to do so! In this class we will be working with different types of foams and sculpting a wearable fursuit head. We will also go over the basics of lining the interior and patterning the exterior among other techniques!

This class will offer a fresh and engaging approach, departing from the conventional art lesson. Students will not only learn fundamental concepts and techniques in art and design but also learn how to creatively express their thoughts and ideas. Through collaborative projects across various art media and other subjects, students will experience new and diverse creative endeavors.
