This camp is a fun and engaging introduction to science using everyday items found at home, showing campers that discovery doesn’t require a lab to be exciting or meaningful. Through hands-on exploration, students learn how common materials can demonstrate important scientific principles while also gaining an understanding of basic safety and why certain substances should or should not be combined. The camp emphasizes curiosity, observation, and critical thinking, helping campers connect science to their daily lives and recognize the science happening all around them. By the end, students walk away with a stronger sense of confidence, awareness, and appreciation for how science shapes the world they interact with every day.
