This camp is a fun and engaging introduction to science using everyday items found at home, showing campers that discovery doesn’t require a lab to be exciting or meaningful. Through hands-on exploration, students learn how common materials can demonstrate important scientific principles while also gaining an understanding of basic safety and why certain substances should or should not be combined. The camp emphasizes curiosity, observation, and critical thinking, helping campers connect science to their daily lives and recognize the science happening all around them. By the end, students walk away with a stronger sense of confidence, awareness, and appreciation for how science shapes the world they interact with every day.

Get ready for a fun-filled camp where movies come to life beyond the screen! In this exciting camp, younger students will explore the world of film by watching, talking about, and enjoying some great PG-rated movies, all while making tasty movie-themed snacks and joining in on creative activities. We’ll use movies as stories we can “read” together! Campers will learn about storytelling by exploring characters, plot, and how stories are put together in a way that’s fun and easy to understand. Through guided discussions and activities, students will begin to think about why characters make certain choices and what lessons we can learn from each film. Campers will share their thoughts in fun, open conversations and connect what they see on screen to their own lives. With hands-on projects, games, and snack-making inspired by each movie, this camp is the perfect mix of creativity, learning, and fun! Perfect for young movie lovers, curious thinkers, and imaginative storytellers—this camp is sure to be a hit!

Myth & Earth Explorers Camp

$250

with Kiya Johnson

Calendar Jun 8, 2026 at 9 am, runs for 1 week

Ages: 10 - 14

Myth & Earth Explorers is a hands-on camp where campers combine archaeology, history, mythology, art, science, and culinary exploration. Each day begins with outdoor investigations, including simulated excavations, soil and water sampling, and the study of rocks, fossils, and landscapes to understand ancient environments. In history and mythology sessions, campers learn about civilizations from Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, and Medieval eras, exploring myths, gods, and legendary figures. These lessons are reinforced through art projects, such as clay modeling, pottery, manuscript-style illustrations, and eco-friendly crafts inspired by the cultures studied. Culinary activities bring history to life, with campers preparing era-specific dishes, learning traditional ingredients, cooking methods, and food science principles. Team challenges and daily showcases integrate all elements, allowing campers to present experiments, artwork, myth-inspired stories, and historical dishes. This interdisciplinary approach encourages creativity, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the natural, cultural, and mythical worlds.
