Through hands-on exploration, students learn how common materials can demonstrate important scientific principles while also gaining an understanding of basic safety and why certain substances should or should not be combined. The camp emphasizes curiosity, observation, and critical thinking, helping campers connect science to their daily lives and recognize the science happening all around them. By the end, students walk away with a stronger sense of confidence, awareness, and appreciation for how science shapes the world they interact with every day.

Math Mania Camp

Ages: 11 - 13

Math games for fun and fluency! Card games, Board Games, Puzzle games. For multiplication, number sense, and more. In Math Mania, we will use fun and engaging activities that seamlessly integrate multiplication, fractions, division, money, and more. We may use single, one on one or team competitions depending on the game. I will cater to the age and ability of students, I have multiple games for multiple levels. Examples: fraction tower -- we build stacking circles by combining equivalent fraction pieces that fit together unit rate ruckus -- board game with playing cards, dividing simple money by # of items proportion tic tac toe -- two person board game solving one number of equiv fraction problem game for area, perimeter -- using gridlines student makes as many boxes/rectnagles/squares as possible guess the number puzzles multiplication card games lots more options!
